Brain Storming

I had an idea, but then my head exploded.
I had a thought, but it was a bit too big for my brain.
It was a concept that had no precept, so naturally I made it rain.
My imagination is prone to flights of drama and fancy.
I had an inkling, that turned into an tinkling, a messy splatter like a Mad Hatter.
My cranium sprouted like a geranium,
it did that Fourth of July thing all over the wall.
I had an idea, but then my head exploded.
I had a bit of intuition that was a bit too big for its britches.
It was a great notion that turned out to be bedlam, more than my frontal lobe could encode.
They said the white coats would be coming for me. That a straight jacket was being fitted.
I told them not to bother, it was just a harmless musing, a rumination of some cogitation,
A deliberation of some meditation
And unlike Humpty Dumpty, I could be put all back together again.
